WCPSS BYOD - WAKE LINKWake County Public Schools has begun a partnership network with Barnes & Noble Book Stores, and others in the future, to create a safe working environment for students when they are not in school. Please understand that students are visiting these locations at their own risk and must abide by the Code of Conduct listed below or they will be asked to leave. This is a great place for students to get into a real world location beyond the four walls of the school to collaborate and enjoy social time responsibly.
Student Code of Conduct at WAKE LINK Locations
1. Students using the space of a Wake Link partner are expected to comport themselves in a way that is respectful to other customers and students. 2. Students are expected to use the space to work, alone or in small groups, on pursuing learning goals. Wake Link partnership sites are NOT to be used for purely social endeavors. 3. Students are not required to purchase any goods or services while working in a partner's space but are welcome to do so at their discretion. 4. Students will be asked to leave if a partner feels they are acting inappropriately and interfering with others using the space. 5. Students should not expect to receive any technical support from partners beyond the information necessary to connect to the wifi network. 6. Wherever possible, students should sit with other students in order to leave a maximum amount of space for customers. |

We know that not all parents can or want to send their child/ teen to school with a device. That’s why teachers continue to plan assuming that not every student will bring a personally owned device to school. Technology will not be used every day for every lesson. There is a right time and place.
Devices and other technology are available for students to use at school, and all students will have greater access to technology in their classrooms. Even four or five devices in a classroom can make a difference. Used collaboratively, technology can transform learning |
